Cleveland Cavaliers Win NBA Lotto – #1 Draft Pick 2011-2012 Season! Timberwolves’ GM Calls Foul!

The Cleveland Cavaliers drew first pick in the NBA lottery for the first time since 2003, which was the year they picked none other than there recently lost golden child LeBron James!

Representing the Cavs was Dan Gilbert‘s 14-year-old son Nick, who suffers from neurofibromatosis, a nerve disorder that causes tumors to grow anywhere in the body at any time. Nick seemed to enjoy himself and really didn’t have much to do with the lottery other than play seat warmer.

But Minnesota Timberwolves GM David Kahn seems to believe there is more going on than meets the eye, saying “This league has a habit, and I am just going to say habit, of producing some pretty incredible story lines. Last year it was Abe Pollin‘s widow and this year it was a 14-year-old boy and the only thing we have in common is we have both been bar mitzvahed. We were done. I told Kevin: ‘We’re toast.’ This is not happening for us and I was right.”

The Kevin he is referring to is Utah Jazz’s executive Kevin O’Connor.

The Timberwolves won second pick and the Jazz followed with the third pick.
